With conspicuous consumption a no-no, fake fur is the animal-friendly -- and budget chic way -- to show your wilder side this fall. I really love HSN.com's newest offerings which include this lynx vest for $149 (I would totally wear this with dark skinny jeans and tall boots). I like that it features a belt to cinch in the volume (that's important when dealing with fur -- real or faux -- because the last thing most women need is more fluffiness.) Mom Needs a New Coat

Maybe the reason I rarely buy myself a new coat is because I live in a somewhat mild climate. Or maybe it's because I am so busy replacing my kids' coats every year that I forget about myself (we moms of boys have it bad because not only do boys outgrow coats every year, they tend to rip, shred, stain or lose the coats they do have.) Whatever the reason, I've been shopping early this year to replace my winter coat, especially since there are so many adorable coats at great prices. My favorite look right now is Old Navy's bright pink -- and how I love pink to make you look younger and more vibrant -- wool-blend coat that costs less than $90. (Photo Credit: Old Navy.com)
